Thank You God, I thank you God, We thank you God!

The Psalmist reminds us that we are not decision makers, we don't determine what will happen, who shall be saved, nor who shall be turned away. The text says that God determines who is righteous. That God determines who is accepted and covered. The very interesting thing is that the one stone that it seems should be rejected is actually the one the others depend on.

Recently our church family has dealt loss, it seems as though death and worry are surrounding us. During times like these it's easy to judge, condemn, speculate, and gossip as we search for answers or closure. However it is during these times when God calls us to turn to God who is both our comforter & judge. Let's turn to God to find comfort and safety in times of loss and stress. God opens the Gate, God calls us home and is waiting for our arrival! Let's trust and rejoice in God and in God alone!

Psalm 118 :19-25
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the Lord. 20 This is the gate of the Lord;
the righteous shall enter through it. 21 I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. 22 The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. 23 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. 25 Save us, we beseech you, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech you, give us success!
