Locked down in fear and despair!

Today is Holy Saturday, the day after the death f Jesus on a tree. All of his followers had scattered and most of them were hiding in a house with the doors locked and windows shut tight. They were locked down in fear for their lives and despair because the one in whom they believed was DEAD. Some were feeling guilt like Peter for denying Christ and running away from him. Others were probably lost in worry, panic, anxiety, depression, and on the brink of a meltdown.

As I reflect on the grave nature of this day, I'm sitting on the floor thanking God for the ability to wiggle my toes. Silly you may think, but as I began to wiggle my toes I thought of the many people who can not move their limbs. Some of us live everyday trapped like the followers of Christ. Some are trapped in their minds, bodies, relationships, jobs, debt, and more living locked down daily. Some of us like them are afraid to open the doors of our lives, afraid to speak out and stand up. We live shut off and distant from wishing Jesus were with us, wondering where God is.

This HOLY SATURDAY take time to reflect on what things are keeping you locked up and remember that Jesus can unbind the strongest ties. 1st we must be recognize what our situation and issues are. Today is a day of introspection and soul search Easter morning.- Therefore I'll get out of the way and let you get to it. Be Blessed- Be Well- Love P.J.
